Fiber-Faced

Fiber faced polyiso (also called felt faced or paper faced) has a moisture barrier paper with fiberglass content, on both sides. These have comparatively lower vapor impermeability and are therefore used in dry application where possibility of moisture is lower, such as under or over roof decking, in between roof rafters or wall cavities (between studs), over studs under sheetrock or other finish material such as tongue and groove.

Common Applications

  • Under or over residential and commercial roof decking
  • Inside walls and ceilings of steel buildings
  • Interior insulation for pole barns and timber frames
  • Under siding, between wall studs, and between the studs and finished walls
  • Between and under the roof rafters behind finished ceiling
  • Cooler panel walls and ceilings
  • Dry basement walls
